spitting is bad ! who said ? ...

 For Masai Tribesmen of Tanzania spitting is reverence and good will. Newborn are spat upon by those who wish good luck. It is also a practice to spat at each other when they  meet and depart.

                  Recently there was a news! '' Spitting is an offence in Mumbai. During July to December 2011, Brihan Mumbai Municipal corporation (BMC)  collected  fine, netting Rs 2.2. crore''. One wonders , if urban population  goes up which  is expected ,  such  revenue  too likely  to  soar  as the Mumbai High Court  observed that spitting is an inherent characteristic of Indians, while hearing  a petition challenging the power given by the BMC to clean up!.
